The following list of “stoner” movies are my personal recommendations and may not reflect popular consensus, lol.

#1 Best Stoner Movie – Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle

It’s just a stoner cult-classic.  The giant bag of weed that Kumar fantasizes about a life with?  The diarrhea twins?? LOL  The guy with the boils on his face, Ryan Reynolds’ cameo, Neil Patrick Harris’ cameo, and the Mountain Dew EXTREME guys?? All gems.

At a very close #2, is my second favorite pot film How High.

I’ve seen both How High & Harold & Kumar dozens of times each, but How High’s story really tapers and vanishes towards the end, which is why I gave H&K the win.

Some How High highlights; Mike Epps -the baby powder pimp, LOL, the college recruiter montage, and one of my favorite scenes of all time is the first initial meeting where Silas & Jamaal smoke up in the parking lot of the THC exam, classic.  ”take the test high, get high scores!”

#3 for me would be the original FRIDAY.  Even my dad likes this movie.  Chris Tucker is at his best and drops some of the funniest & most memorable lines…  ”You got knocked da fUGOUT!” and “It’s Friday, you ain’t got no job, and you ain’t got shit to do!”  Ice T I’ve always kinda liked as an actor, plus the character of Debo is too funny.

#4  Dazed & Confused.  The hazing scene, the upperclassmen chasing the freshmen boys with paddles, Matt McConaghey’s hair & moustache, Parker Pokey being hysterically mean as she does so well, and the good-feeling happy ending of little long haired guy getting through it all.

#5 Half-Baked.  I’ve only seen this movie a few times, but Dave Chappelle & Guillermo Diaz make it.

#6  Cheech & Chong Up in Smoke.  Another one that I need to see a few times mas to fully appreciate, but it definitely was a “before its time” canna-classic.

#7  Pineapple Express.  One of the newer ones.  I have to give it to them just for making a mainstream big-budget movie focused on pot.  I didn’t like some of the neg connotations that were made of the anti-pot persuasion, kinda how in Knocked Up, ultimately Seth Rogan’s character was more irresponsible due to his ganja habit.

#8 Super High Me.  I only saw it once, but I remember laughing at enough parts to make it worth watching.  I like that it’s not the typical (boring) pot doc.
